  • Payment:

    Payment is required at the time of booking and clinic is not confirmed until payment is received. All charges / costs are in New Zealand Dollars.

    Clinic Size

    All clinics (unless private by request) require at least 4 people to run. SMTB may cancel or reschedule clinic if minimum numbers are not met, and full refund given to those already booked on.

    Cancellation by Southern MTB Coaching:

    We reserve the right to reschedule a clinic if the safety and quality of our clinics is compromised due to any reason outside of our control, including, but not limited to: weather conditions, environmental conditions, pandemics/illness.

    Depending on the circumstances, the clinic may be either rescheduled or canceled. If canceled, a full refund will be given (minus booking fee).

    Southern MTB Coaching has the ability to terminate an activity during the session if we feel the safety of the participants, coach or general public is compromised. Depending on the nature of the cancellation, we will provide a suitable reimbursement in this instance. This may include a partial refund, rescheduling, or provide discount on future activities suitable to the degree of disruption.

    Cancellation by the Client:

    Includes any cancellation that is a responsibility of the client, including, but not limited to, illness (including Covid 19), injuries, change of schedules, loss of equipment etc.

    If the clinic needs to be canceled by the client, 48 hours notice must be given for any refund to be provided. Within 24 hours no refund will be given.

    If the clinic is a consecutive series and needs to be canceled by the client, refund policy applies to the first session only, and no refund given once the clinics starts.

    Booking fees will not be refunded.

    Photography and Media

    Southern MTB Coaching may take photos and video during the clinic for use on social media and marketing and permission is given through accepting a clinic with SMTB. If you do not wish for any media to be taken please advise the coach.

    All techniques and information of Southern MTB Coaching is the intellectual property of Robin Pieper. It is not to be copied, used or distributed for the benefit of persons who have not attended a Southern MTB Coaching Clinic.

  • Participation Statement:

    Mountain Biking is an activity that has an inherent degree of risk that could result in personal injury, damage to property, and even a possibility of death. Southern MTB Coaching will take all practicable steps to provide for the safety of the participant and reduce these risks. However, by participating in a Southern MTB Coaching activity, you acknowledge it is not possible nor desirable to eliminate this risk, regardless of the care taken to manage the risks of mountain biking.

    All participants agree to participate with Southern MTB Coaching to manage these risks and are comfortable with the residual risk presented by mountain biking.

    By agreeing to this risk disclosure you accept Southern MTB Coaching is not liable for any injury, illness or damage to property whilst attending our activities.

    Rights and Responsibilities:

    Managing the risks of mountain biking is everyone’s responsibility. As such, Southern MTB Coaching will:

    · Allow participants to determine their own level of challenge, unless the coach feels the participant is putting themselves at undue risk by undertaking a particular trail or maneuver.

    · Maintain the right to terminate the activity, or limit participation from some or all activities if:

    o We feel the participant has a medical condition(s) that would pose an unmanageable or unacceptable risk to the activity

    o We feel the participant does not have the skill to participate in part or all of an activity without exposing themselves to undue risk.

    o The safety of the activity is compromised for whatever reason during the activity.

    As a participant in SMTB experiences, you acknowledge and agree you are responsible for the following:

    · Following the instructions and guidance of your coach

    · Abide by the Mountain Bikers Code

    · Disclose any relevant information to the coach needed to cater for your safety, including medical conditions or health concerns. This includes impairment from drugs and alcohol.

    · Provide updates to the coach throughout the activity on anything that could alter the safety and quality of the experience. This includes your health, confidence and skill, as well as any issues that may arise with your equipment.

    · Ride within your ability and stay in control at all times.

    · Have the correct equipment for the activity, including:

    o Well-maintained mountain bike to enable you to safely undertake the activity. SMTB has the right to check your bike and ensure it is safe for the activities being undertaken.

    o Cycle specific helmet

    o Covered shoes

    o Sufficient food and water for the duration of the activity

    o Appropriate clothing for the duration and weather conditions of the activity.

    By booking and paying for a clinic with SMTB you accept this Risk Disclosure. If you are under 18, you must have a parent or guardian sign this risk disclosure on your behalf.
